Isle of Eigg

Wildlife and walks, interesting geology and fossils, plus a welcome from a community running affairs on their own island. Eigg is owned by the Isle of Eigg Heritage Trust and has a forward-looking community with a craft shop, tearoom and bike hire. This very varied island is excellent for wildlife, with almost 200 bird species having been recorded here. Some fascinating plants flourish on lime-rich rocks.
