
Isle of Rum An important island nature reserve, the largest and most rugged
of the Small Isles is noted, wildlife-wise, for red deer and
breeding Manx shearwaters. The most mountainous of the Small
Isles. Rum is one of Scotland’s best known national nature
reserves. It has its own special breed of pony and an extravagant
Edwardian castle, plus nature trails and guided walks.
